Vintage Kilim Patchwork Rugs, View one of the most comprehensive collections of traditional Turkish Rugs, modern rugs, Kilim cushions and Kilim Furniture, with worldwide delivery. Rug Store based in London UK.

Kilim Patchwork Rugs are created from pieces of miscellaneous 40 – 80 years old hand-woven weavings. A new generation of artists in Istanbul utilize these semi-antique weavings after they have them cleaned and some of them dyed to their specifications to create a new art form. The weavings are cut into squares and other basic geometric forms and assembled in a pattern, backed with two layers of fabric to reinforce, sewn together and ironed.

This piece is around 65 to 70 years old and in very good.
