Turkish Anatolian Kilim Patchwork Rugs. Patchwork flat weave rug created from pieces of miscellaneous 40 to 80 years old hand-woven weavings. A new generation of artists in Istanbul utilize these semi-antique weavings after they have them cleaned and some of them dyed to their specifications to create a new art form.
The weavings are cut into squares and other basic geometric forms and assembled in a pattern, backed with two layers of fabric to reinforce, sewn together and ironed.
This rug is around 50 to 60 years old and very good condition.
Measurements may differ slightly due to hand-made nature.
Colours may differ slightly due to photography and computer colour settings
